Review
Gyokushodo’s Dento no Koari incense assortment has been an interesting journey.
All of the blends seem to be an artistic expression of sorts.
This one is no different.
At first, I noticed the bitter Vietnamese aloeswood. There is an inherent creaminess to it, coming from the Old Mountain Sandalwood. There is some sort of muskiness clouding over it. There are some herbs and spices at play. Turmeric provides a light spiciness with bits of camphor to elevate the senses and provide a clearing sensation.
I wouldn’t say this is overpowering though, rather it’s a bit subtle.
A traditional, yet refined fragrance.
Very lovely incense.
